The Walk2Romania is the major fundraising event organised by CCM which takes place on the estate of Arley Hall, Cheshire. The aim of the walk is to get as many sponsored walkers together in the hope that between us all we will cover the 1,500 miles between Barnton (home of CCM in the UK) and Emanuel Children's Home in Cluj Napoca, Romania.
This year's walk takes place on: SATURDAY 5TH JULY 2008
Registration opens at 12noon and the walk begins en masse at 1pm
There is a choice of a 10-mile or a 5-mile route. We certainly do not want to put off walkers who feel that 10 miles might be too much. For those really little legs there is a 1-mile route that takes in the delights of Stockley Farm and a tractor ride back to the marquee.
2008 will be the fifth annual Walk and over the years we have raised in excess of £40,000 which is a wonderful achievement and we give thanks to all the walkers and sponsors who have helped us raise these all important funds.
As the Walk takes place on the estate of Arley Hall, why not take opportunity to make a great family day of it. Arley Hall and the Gardens are open to the public and Stockley Farm is also on the estate giving children the chance to feed the lambs and baby goats as well as finding out much more about the animals on the farm. There are picnic benches near to the car park and marquee for the walk so why not enjoy a picnic lunch before the off!
Can't Get to Arley Hall?
You don't have to join us at Arley to be able to raise funds for CCM. If you would like to complete a sponsored walk in your area, just get in touch with us and we will send you all the information you need. You could go for a walk on your own, with your colleagues, family or friends. Why not get your school or your church involved as well.
