Ioanna & Simona
Despite Ioanna leaving Emanuel Children's Home, these sisters have remained close. Ioanna has a job in a restaurant as a waitress and has an apartment of her own. Simona is finishing her schooling off and is still living in Emanuel. Simona would like to become a childcare worker - just like the staff at Emanuel who have cared for her all these years. |

Cristi
Cristi is the youngest child currently in the home. He was abandoned by his mother at just a few months old and was taken into the care of a foster family. When he was 6, Cristi was placed in Emanuel Children's Home. He has hyper-activity and attention deficit problems but is making excellent progress with the support of the staff and children at Emanuel and at his kindergarten. |

Andreia & Andrei
Andreia and Andrei are brother and sister who were brought into care by their mother who was unable to look after them. Andreia works part time in a hotel kitchen and enjoys preparing food for the other children and any visitors to Emanuel. Andrei enjoys art and sport although needs a little more persuading to complete his school work! |

Claudiu
Claudiu and his brother Dani were the first children taken in the care of Emanuel. Their parents had been tricked out of all their money and their government apartment by the lure of a home of their own. Dani now has an apartment of his own whilst Claudiu has remained in the home to finish his schooling. Now 20, Claudiu has caught up on the years he missed and would like to become an architect. |

Alex
Alex has always had her sights set on becoming a ballet dancer and her chances of this have not been hampered in any way by her being in Emanuel. She attends one of the best dance schools in Cluj Napoca and is regularly seen performing the splits and tremendous stretches in the lounge of Emanuel! |

Elena
Elena is very studious and works hard in all she faces. Most of the children speak very good english and Elena is no exception. Elena's schooling is being built around her hopes to become a psycologist. |

Ioanna & Calin
After spending a number of years at Emanuel, Ioanna has returned to live with family. Calin is still at Emanuel and is very settled there. He has begun technical school and is a keen (but still amateur) electrician. He has always been known for his ability to dismantle but not for his re-assembly skills! |

Adina
Adina lost both her parents when she was very young and was brought up by her grandfather. Adina was brought to Emanuel Children's Home when her grandfather was no longer able to take care of her. |
